On March 22, 2010, 0730 hrs, I witnessed one of the most beautiful flight landings in my life. I was seated on the window seat ahead of the wing in the Air India flight. Unable to focus on the breakfast set in front of me, I was peering out of the window like a kid. Was it Vanilla ice cream with chocolate shavings sprinkled on it? It was the beautiful snow capped Karakoram range. The pilot did some beautiful manoeuvres which enhanced the view of the awesome landscape outside. Then came the final touch down on the paradise on earth "LEH".
As soon as I came out of the flight I was greeted by an environment at 7 deg. celsius with chill winds. I thanked myself for my thoughtful action at Delhi airport. I had removed my Jacket and skull cap from the check-in baggage and carried it along with me (definitely a wise decision !!!). And here I was in the place 13000 feet above sea level !!!
